MA TEFL

I started an MA TEFL through the University of Birmingham in April 2006. Being 43 years old at the time, it was “cheaper than a porche and much less complicated than a girlfriend,” that is to say, I guess I started it as part mid-life crisis and part wanting to know more about my craft…

I hope to post my essays here as well as other tidbits on professional development and networking among EFL teachers.

  1. Hi,

I just wanted to know more about your MA in TEFL. Was it a good program? Is some of it online? How long does it take? I’m also 43 now.

  2. Hi Heather,

It is very good. I’m a whole new teacher. I have enough to keep me busy now for many, many years. I strongly suggest looking into doing an MA program if you’re at all interested.

Here’s a link to info on my course:

If you ever want to talk, Skype me, I don’t bite.

    Cheers,

    Steve
